VHT Niteshades on headlight reflector surface?
I plan on painting my headlight housing this weekend and I want it to look like this: http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_...3229_large.jpg
Notice how the reflector surface on the side of the high-beam compartment, bottom, and top are black. Do those areas affect the angles of visibility? Or in other words: will the sides of the road still be lit by my headlights?
If it does affect visibility, I had an idea of going through those same reflector surfaces with like 2-3 coats of VHT Niteshades instead of flat black paint. I expect the light to shine through the paint and hit the reflector giving me visibility of the sides of the road (diminished, but better than nothing). Would that go according to plan?
Also, my paints are rated for 250 degrees F, is that good enough to withstand the heat of the headlights?
Thank you!
