Whats the best headlights (bang for buck) on a 95 Accord sedan?
My son has some setup which is 3 projector looking bulbs with angel eyes around them and side vertical blinkers (almost like a E39 BMW M5). One of them is crooked and another is dim, one of the angel eyes doesn't work.
His car came with a body kit, he is happy with it. The car only has 2 owners and 89k miles (parents transferred it to son). He wants something 'cool', but I can't find that same headlight online. I found the SIR replicas that are smoked (his car was repainted black with a slight green tint), but I am not sure on their light output. Headlights are real important to me as I do a lot of spirited night driving even now at almost 50 years old. My cars have bi-Xenon for a long time now. Not looking for that investment, but if I can do a nice light with some killer bulbs that don't blind everyone...he'd love that.
Thanks

Inexpensive aftermarket headlights are often hit-or-miss for our applications. Their light dispersion rarely rivals OE headlamps and many are prone to accumulating internal moisture. Also, aftermarket plastic lens' don't have the same UV protection as OE and are known to deteriorate quickly.
That said, I installed a pair of cheap, ePay headlights on my 7th gen about 6 weeks ago. I opted for the OE design with black housings(instead of OE chrome)....uses all stock bulbs, no projectors or led halos to cause headaches down the road. I'm using Philips Extravision bulbs in the low beams and Volsa +120 bulbs in the high beams...all stock wattage. While the new headlamps don't disperse the light as evenly as OE, they do illuminate the road better that the dingy, worn original headlamps they replaced. As for UV protection, I'm applying a plastic protectant to the new lens' after every car wash.
So, my best advice if you do end up buying a pair of the inexpensive headlights is...just keep it simple with an OE configuration, use stock wattage bulbs, and be prepared to apply a UV protectant to the lens' on a regular basis.

Son likes the lights. It's his car. I am going to try to get them going as best as I can. I need to figure out a replacement since one of the angel eyes is dead.
For bulbs like like the higher end Philips/Silvania and Narvas.
