Default 12V+ Constant Non-Existant?

In my 1995 Accord LX Coupe, I decided to be cheap and hack the factory radio plug off and hardwire my radio in... Too bad I didn't know that'd be the most infuriating thing I'd ever do. My old radio wouldn't save presets, or store any memory of any kind. Today I realized it wasn't just a crappy radio, but a crappy wiring job.

I looked up a wiring diagram for my car, and like 4 or 5 of the wires in my car aren't listed anywhere... Basically I have a red wire with a yellow stripe and a white wire with a red stripe that both have power coming to them, but neither of them can be used as battery / ignition (which ever way you put them). I could be doing something wrong, which would make a lot of sense, but this new radio has so many features, not letting it's equalizer settings save is the most annoying thing ever.

Also, I should mention no one has done any wiring work on this car before me, so no one has been in the wire harness and re-wired it.

go to the battery for a constant. use a relay off an existing ignition wire to generate a switched/ignition (also off the battery).

Actually, it is resolved. I found it tucked way up in the harness. What a bitch that was.
