Default 2 many applications bad for your ride??

hey guys, just wanna know...
if you have speakers all over the place and LED's all over the place, and having fog lights on constanly, will that ruin the battery in the long run or even in the short run?
because i think thats what happened to my car...
(i'm trying to eliminate all the possibilities for my flat Battery)

You need to get a higher output alternator to keep up with all of these add-ons. Upgrading the battery will do you no good if the alternator isn't outputing enough to run everything and charge the battery.

LED's literally drain almost no current.
fog lights and stereo equipment, yea it does.

theres a fairly easy way to figure out whether your maxxing out your alt or not.

take the max total load on your system in watts, (estimates are fine), and divide it by 12. thats the amperage draw. assuming your alt puts out ~ 120A (fairly standard), if your total is below 100A (or 1,200watts) you and the battery should be OK.
