Default 2003 EX Steering Wheel Audio Controls

I've always thought it weird the steering wheel audio controls don't light up at night. In addition, the sunroof and TCS buttons to the left of the steering wheel do not light up. Is this normal or could I just have some sort of malfunction? Thanks.

You may have something as simple as a blown fuse.

pham,

The steering wheel controls do not light up. In 2005 they fixed this issue and went with illuminated controls. You can get the 2005 controls from your dealer but you need to have them installed by an audio store, Honda won't do it. Its not as easy as just swapping out, you have to splice power from somewhere else to get them to light up. You can do it yourself but I'm told it's risky and VERY easy to deploy the airbag. There's instructions on here somewhere, a girl named Princess posted how to do the swap. Maybe someone can help lead you to that thread. As for the TCS and sunroof buttons, these SHOULD light up. I had to replace both bulbs in mine. They're about 4 bucks a piece from your dealer and are very easy to swap out. Good luck.
