2004 accord factory speakers quit playing?

Default 2004 accord factory speakers quit playing?

my wife has a 2004 accord and the radio lights up and you can change the channels and everything, but there is no sound??? please help

I'm gonna move this to A/V Electronics where you'll probably have better luck.

My guess would be there is a short in either a speaker or the wiring. Best way to check is too pull the HU, get the wiring diagram of the plug and check the resistance of each speaker. I believe the stock speakers are 8ohms, so they should read 7.5 to 8 ohms at each speaker. If it reads 0.00 you've got a short on that channel. Then I would unplug that speaker and check it's resistance to see if the short is at the speaker or in the wiring.
