Exclamation 2004 Honda Accord EX Coupe Speaker Installation Help

Hey everyone,

I'm the proud owner of a 2004 Accord EX Coupe. Unfortunately my stock speakers are finally starting to go (get really distorted at higher volumes). I have bought some Polk DB651s speakers off Amazon. I made sure to check that these fit my doors, but I'm having a lot of trouble getting the door panels off.

I started on the passenger side and i undid the screws behind the door handle, and then the screw underneath the "armrest" (is that what its called?). From there, I also undid the triangle panel. I then undid the pins behind the panel, but from here I'm having trouble. I'm guessing the only other step is to undo the door handle latch as this seems to be what is making the panel not want to come off. Does anyone know how I go about doing this? Is there anything else I need to do?

Also, when I get to the drivers side, are there additional steps needed due to the auto mirror adjusters etc.?

Thanks for your help!

I'm going to move this to the audio section. You'll likely get more help there.
