2006 EX-L iPod adapter install complete! (finally!)
So, after the el-cheapo fiasco, I returned the unit. Ordered a USA spec unit from Crutchfield.ca. Yeah, it was 200 (taxes and shipping included)....it arrived in two days.
It had a bit of a larger footprint than the other (elcheapo unit), and the wire was 'fatter' (needed to make the hole bigger), but it works GREAT!
All that to say:
el-cheapo ain't worth it
it's VERY easy to install. I'm not handsome OR handy, and I was able to do it.
this same issue comes up on that vintage of accords, and THIS is the answer.
