Default I just bought my 2010 Honda Accord and this is what I got

Hi,
I purchased the Griffin Tuneflex2 from amazon for $1.99 plus shipping, It came in 2 days, WOW! I got this so it will charge the ipod while it plays. It will play with just the cable as well. One end of the cable goes in your AUX jack, the other end either in the bottom of the charging portion of the Tuneflex OR the earphone jack on your ipod. I will admit, the setup is awkward. But it is far better than an FM transmitter. I have had my new car less than a week and I have lots to figure out yet, like will the display show what's playing on my ipod? That would be really nice.

Here is a link

that setup above will work. but it's an aux input - no song data will be displayed on the radio nor any control of the ipod is possible.

but it's cheaper than solutions that may do what you want.

these two might give you the data and control you seek - but their installation is more involved. you may want to involve a competent shop.

I just got a 2010 Accord LX-P today as well Nice car..comfortable and gas consumption seems ok.

However, I was kinda upset that Honda only offered an AUX input instead of a USB input. Glad I found that there is a way to get an iPod working. Thanks

Hi!
I have a 2010 with EX trim - NO XM button! The link provided says that XM button is required. Any ideas about that? It does have an AUX button, so that my be adequate though the web site doesnt say.

Hmmm, i don't know if the AUX button will give you the same functionality. the XM option displays artist title/song info. Pics of your radio?

It's a picture taken in bad lighting - in garage. Let me know if you need a better one

Here it is.

If you don't have the XM option, then the adapters that require that option won't work. Mostly, it uses the XM input and logic to offer control and display information. AUX is just simply changing the source without providing any additional control or logic.

Sorry.

Sorry.
Which are the best overall value Ipod adapters that used the steering wheel controls and charge the unit as well? Are there ones that use the radio's display? My radio displays MP3 info so I was hopeful.

Thanks

with the XM radio button option - you get charging, artist info, steering wheel controls, etc.

with an aux input only option, you may only get charging but you control the ipod on the ipod.
