Default 2010 Accord single disc to 6 disc radio

Hello,

I have a friend who has a 2010 Accord with the single disc CD radio. She would like to know if it can be converted with radio with a 6 CD changer. The problem is she does not want an aftermarket look and many of the external multi-cd changers do not seem to interface with the current radio. The only option seems to purchase a used 2010 Accord 6CD changer. However, I am concerned that that there are speaker, antenna, power wiring differences between the Accords originally equipped with single and 6cd radios. Can anybody offer any insight to this? I'd hate to buy the radio just to find out the connections are different. Thanks in advance.

connections should be the same assuming that you are not going from one radio with climate control built in to a non-climate control unit or vice versa.

i think both the radio unit and the display need to be replaced. if you look in the owner's manual, the LCD displays are different between single disc and changer models.

look around/call local salvage yards to get lucky and find a wrecked 2010 accord.

wire harness will be the same, but you will need the factory cable between radio and display. don't forget too get the CODE.
