BAD Disc (MP3 Disc in 08 Accord LX)
Every MP3 Disc I have burned fails to read in my 08 Accord LX with stock stereo system.
The error is "Bad Disc Check Manual". According to the manual this is a servo error.
I burned first disc directly from iTunes. I burned disc as MP3 disc.
I burned second disc directly from iTunes as a data disc.
I burned third disc using Windows Vista. I "finalized" the disc and it still does not read the disc.
I can play regular audio CD's just fine, so the mechanism works.
Any others having trouble? Any solutions? I will take it in for warranty work if no one has a solution.
Thanks.

OK, I burned a disc from an old Mac using iTunes and the disc works. I also burned a disc from an old PC running Windows 2000 using Nero and it works as well. All discs I burned from new Dell machine with a Combo Drive do not work in my Accord but they do work in my friends stereo in his Chevy truck.
Looks like you figured out the problem ..... the burner and your car are not compatible.
Either use another computer to make disks for the car or buy a new burner.
Computer components are cheap on pricewatch.com. A lot of people like NewEgg too.

Newegg has great deals on dvd drives. You can get a DL-DVD burner for $20 to $30, and even cheaper if you just want a CD burner. But DL-DVDs are great, I can't wait for HUs to start reading DL-DVDs. I won't need to use an ipod anymore with 9gbs of storage, 4gbs is not enough for me.
