I am hoping to wire in a rear trunk release button to a 2013 Accord Sport. Why? If you have to ask, you won't understand, I suppose.

It's probably hopeless, but I am wondering if there is a circuit in the 2013 Accord LX/Sport (those models without the proximity key) that is live when the doors are unlocked, but has no power when locked.

Basically, a circuit that would provide power to the trunk release when the doors are unlocked, but not when they are locked.

A follow-up: I saw the "input test" for the door lock module on another Honda car, and it indicated that one of the wires should have continuity with ground only when the driver door is unlocked. What would be the best method for locating a similar test for the '13 Accord (I am guessing that asking the dealer is my best bet)?

If that is the case, presumably a switch that was attached to that wire would be able to actuate the release only when the door is unlocked (assuming the release has +12V at that time).
