I have a new 13 accord sport and i decided to upgrade the system. Well worth it. I heard no difference after disabling ANC. I had the stereo place unplug the unit under the radio. The head unit is pretty good IMO. My stereo absolutely rocks now!

that's the first time i've heard someone say it wasn't an improvement. but if you have high expectations, i can see how that would be the case.

your decision to replace the headunit is the correct approach. enjoy.

Default 2015 Honda Accord sport stereo upgrade

I just recently got a 2015 Honda Accord sport , I bought new door speakers and rear deck speakers . I'm wondering if there is any way to replace the factory amp with an aftermarket one or any other way to amp those speakers for better sound .

I have tried several approaches. We are trying to overcome the DSP/EQ inside the factory HU. I've tried an internal mod to the HU, added an external processor to fix the factory signal, adding a second HU in the lower pocket, and swapped the base HU for the premium (touchscreen) version. each step was tedious.

Others have bought the expensive Metra bypass which is buggy. And recently, relocating the factory HU to the trunk has detailed.

The hassles center around the HU being responsible for controlling the 8" iMid screen in the dash, and directing information to it.

So it sounds like there's no easy way to do this . Is there a factory amp in this model ? Or is it part of the HU? There has to be a way to either swop out the factory amp or add one for just the speakers . Just want to make sure I get the most out of these new speakers I'm going to be putting in it . Thanks for the reply .

I got rid of the car after less than 2 years and bought an Audi. I realized I just love European cars.
