Getting error USB not responding. The phone charges when connected, but can not connect to phone/android auto. I switched cables 3 times and same problem. Seems like it started when AA did an update. Worked fine first few days, now the error.

I reset to factory and unpaired and uninstalled/reinstalled on phone. Also worth a mention, I go to smartphone settings and select android auto, says no device is connected when i have it plugged in and charging.

I am no tech, so simple terms if you can assist. Much appreciated.

 

Android just provided an update for Android Auto - allowing it to be connected via BT and not wired. Turns out you can't choose both, only one: wired or BT and that choice is in your phone.
