Default 7' touchscreen headunits

I plan on getting one this summer.

I am curious, would you guys recommend a 7' screen that sits flush or a single DIN that has the screen come out, and then flip up?

I have concerns about the motor on flip screens burning out, making them worthless.
Also, I am thinking the screen may hit my gear selectory when coming out.
But with a flush screen I think it would be way to low, and I would have to wedge my hand in a weird way between the gear selector and screen.

Also, do they draw alot more power then a reg. aftermarket headunit?
Any other issues?
And, if a DVD is playing, do they automatically stop when the vehicle is put in gear?

Its up to you what style you would want to go with. I personally like the fold out style. There is no more power draw than any other aftermarket head unit. If you are worried about the face motor burning out,be sure to get a good quality unit. Something like Pioneer, Alpine, Eclipse, Kenwood. Don't go with pieces of **** like Pyle, Dual, or any other unit you can buy for under $300. As far as video shutdown, Pioneer units with the built in Navi do shut down but there are ways around it. Hope this helps.

ok this is my opinion...I work at a stero shop...If you buy a 300 dollar flip out or 2-din. you will most likely have problems after about 6 months toa year. there is one that we sell called Valor. That is acctually whatI have in my accord and its 2-din and I love it. as for the whole navi and dvd cut off. thats bull****....you can bypass that with one wire. and some units have a code you put in to by pass it...let me know if you have any more questions bro..
