Exclamation Android, Bluetooth, and Pandora

Hi, I just bought a 2013 EX yesterday. My phone is an HTC G2 that was running Cyanogenmod 7.2 (based on Android 2.3.7). HFL only supported Bluetooth Audio with Android 2.3.7. This afternoon I flashed a new ROM (flinny's "Andromadus" ROM) to my old G2 and now hove the equivalent of Android 4.2.2. That has the benefit of raising the Bluetooth version to the latest available and lets HFL run Pandora in "Accessory" mode. I have full control of Pandora via the car's controls. FYI, Android 4.2 is called "Jelly Bean." If your phone isn't running Jelly Bean, you probably won't be able to control Pandora in Accessory mode. If you're semi-geekie, you might be able to root your phone and flash a Jelly Bean ROM to it to get full Pandora goodness via your Accord. There's no guarantee that there is a Jelly Bean Rom for your phone or that your phone is rootable, but at least now you know more about it. Rooting isn't insanely technical, you just need to exactly follow instructions. YMMV. xda-developers (dot) com is the place to learn more about rooting a phone and flashing a replacement ROM. Man, I love my Accord. I'd never ridden in one before yesterday. I've had an Odyssey and a Fit Sport, but neither ride are nice as this Accord. I wish I'd started there!

I like to share knowledge. I'm an old school sort of hacker.
