Default Best way to hook up my mp3 player to a 2005 Honda Accord LX?

Hi, I am new to the forums.

What is the best yet not too expensive way to get my mp3 player to hook up to my radio and play in the car?

I dont care about controlling the music through the buttons on the radio or anything like that. I just want music from the mp3 player to go to the car.

I don't want to use FM Transmitters because they have the little hissing noise that annoys me. I something wired to get the best quality.

Thanks

pacific accessory corporation (PAC-Audio.com) and USAspec sell OEM interface adapters that allow you to add an AUX input to most OEM head units.

visit their site, enter your vehicle info, and browse their product. most come with matching wire harnesses so you're not cutting wires.

Both those brands sell adapters and specialize for ipod and let you change through your radio controls and etc. I don't care about that, I want a straight auxiliary connection.

And I don't really see any of the brands out their, how much would they cost? Do you have an estimate??

do you have an XM radio button?

you want the best quality then you need an interface. i agree FM modulators suck. you bought a car with an integrated head unit - so you are at the mercy of the accessory industry to add functionality - and it's not cheap. most newer vehicles are the same way.

i don't have experience with Precision Interface Electronics like i do with PAC-audio, but this is another option for a bit less money:
PIE hon03pcson

or i'm not sure if this works with your setup

X3-HON03 PC-SON 2003-2010

these interfaces are specific and may require external components, or at least inputs for CD changers, Sat radio, etc.

a viable option, but one that doesn't sound much better than an FM modulator, the wire is always visible and in the way, the build quality is awful, you can hear the tape mechanism, etc.

I had a PIE adapter in my old F350 and it worked great. That was strictly an AUX interface which worked great. Also, just installed a USASpec iPod interface on my Accord tonight and I was pretty impressed with the sound quality but take a little getting used to the controls of the iPod through the deck.
