Default A better battery

In my 96 accord, I have one 12 inch sub, 5 channel amp, door speakers, capacitor and deck. I know that my headlights are dimming. I wanted to get an optima battery for my car, cause I dont think a standard battery will be able to take that much power...

Any ideas???

Common question. Dimming occurs when the alternator is too small or the engine RPM is low. A new battery will help maintain 12.5V but not 14V.

I had a red top for 6 years. Now I have a DieHard Platinum which is a better battery, made by Odyssey. AGM batteries are key.

Dimming also results from voltage drop. We upgrade the Big 3 which is detailed in my Alternator and ELD sticky. Be sure to read that,
