I have a stock single disc CD deck in 99 Accord coupe LX. And for the first time ever this thing wouldn't spit the CD out after playing it and displayed E:01 code, and wouldn't play after that. Has anyone had any problems like that? Does keeping a CD in the CD player over many nights contribute to this in any way?

Ok so the CD ejected after some time, pretty much next day, and it hasn't happended since. I no longer leave CD's in the player, just for the hell of it.

 

Same thing happened to me in my '01 Accord. The 1st time it happened, the CD came out that night. Didn't happen for a few months, then it got worse. Wouldn't spit out my cd for a few days, then turned to a week or so.

I just replaced the factory stereo and got me a Pioneer 5900iB! Might want to replace that bad boy soon.
