and try hiding ur radar detector. have it hidden somewhere on ur dash. i have mine on the top right of the driver side. keeps it hidin and looks cool.
One small .... well maybe big problem with this idea. The detector needs to be level and clear of the wipers and any other frontal obstruction to detect properly. Then, the rear sensor needs to be able to see out through the back window.

yea i know that..that is why i keep the radar right underneath the tinted part on windshield. as for the back..hmm..i dunno..nothing has happened..but im sure it can detect some lasers.

Without a doubt, hands-down the best detector made is the Escort 9500i. I have the x50 and am thinking of switching up. Next to the 9500i are the x50 and Valentine1.

9500i: $450 for a red face and $500 for a blue one
X50: $300 for red and $340 for blue

My best friend recently upgraded from an X50 to a 9500i. The differance is amazing!!! His has all of the common false areas marked and when it goes off it's real ...... amazing device!!!!

I give this one 5 PH's up!!!! Mine gets 4.8 PH's!!!!!

Happy Jon!!!

I used to be a ticket machine, and was part of the good old 6 point club. Not anymore, ever since my X50 Escort Passport, I havent gotten a ticket in three years. I love it. You just have to know how to use it. I wont trust anything but Escort. I was in my friends car heading out to Columbus, he has a Cobra. The pig had Ka and it picked up just as we where passing the pig, Cobra is garbage.

LOL .... yup ... I had an 8500 before the X50 and a RMR-C430 before that (proven to not jam radar).

I have to admit .... I did get a speeding ticket when I first got the X50 .... must be 3 years now .... when they were new.

I was cruising at 100 in a 65 on a 10 lane highway with no other cars ..... got hit with laser .... I wound up with a plea bargin for 14 over and I had to take defensive driving ..... 65 in NJ is double fine and points, so it was a 4 pt. ticket, but 3 were removed ..... otherwise I think the course cost about $100, $200 in fines and $400 for a lawyer (best friend's dad discount ..... for 2 days in court and maybe another hour in the office plus anything he needed to research.)

From that ordeal, I learned that Lasers NEVER have to be calibrated and are PERFECT according to the courts. Kinda ..... bs.

I have a whistler Pro-73. i like it dosent false too much and has saved me plenty.. lets be honest here if u get hit wit laser dead on you are done no matter what..i mounted my radar high to the right of the rear view mirror then hard wired it to avoid the cord down the dash.. looks clean and works great, if ur gonna try and hide it its not gnna be effective and there prob is no real reason to have it... I herd that corbas tend to flase but i really dont know much about them... but hey somthing has to be better then nothing !!!

if I ever got one I would most likely try to modify it so the sensor is seperate from the unit, and mount the sensor up high but run the wires down to the unit somewhere else.
