Default Cost to put audio in car?

how much do shops usually charge in labor for the following? (I have parts)
-install stereo
-put in door and deck speakers
-wire 1000 watt sub, capacitor and two tens in trunk (this is a maybe)

and if anyone knows
-does mirror tint (legal kind) cost much more than regular tint to get installed?

They charge way more than what the work is worth, if you have very basic skills you can install everything your self. If not be prepared to spend a few hundred dollars on the install alone. My system costs me about $1300 all together and shopping around for good prices.

Legal tint will not be any cheaper, but you will actually get what ever warranty the shop or tint manufacturer offers. With illegal tints you usually don't get a receipt and only have a warranty period of 30 days or so. So in that sense I guess they have more value, but will cost the same. Be prepared to pay $100 plus for tints, probably even more, prices have gone up over the last few years.

At least do the first two by yourself... They are simple to do, and by far the least worth paying someone else to do... If you are completely clueless, you must have a friend who can do it for you.

thx guys, i went by a shop today, and he said it would be $45 to install the stereo, but he just told me to buy a kit they sell and put it in myself (which I will do with help from my brother). The speakers I somewhat planned to do by myself, since I helped my brother put his in his mustang, and it was a simple swapping of speakers.

My biggest concern is if I decide to put in the 1000 watt amp, capacitor, and two seperate 10's sitting around in. When my brother put this stuff in his car, he tore his car apart getting the giant gauge wire run. I thought that simply having a shop put it in would be simpler, but that endevor will be for later (after wheels).

And he said tint would be about 200.

Stereo is easy. Buy the Scosche wiring harness from Wal-Mart ~$6
Buy the install kit from Best Buy $20

Match the wires up, solder, heat shrink, boom your done! Minus taking stuff apart. I have installed 3 stereos in my car, plus the other 5 or 6 for friends.

Skip the capacitor. Put that money to better speakers.
