Default How to change speakers in my 97 SE Sedan

I want to change out the speakers on my 97 SE Sedan. I figured that i have to take off the front door panels to change out the front speakers, but how do the rear 6x9's come out? it looks to be that they are screwed in from the top, but when i tried to pop off the covers on the rear deck they woudnt come off. is there a trick to these things?

Very simple to change the speakers in this car. For the rear speakers, the covers do have to come off, but there are 3 screws holding the cover on from the underdash. After removing those 3 screws, the cover just comes right off. You will probably need someone when putting the covers back on to line up the holes and to keep the cover in place. If not, just try jamming something inbetween the dash and window to keep it in place. Let me know with any other questions,,,,i have a 97 accord LX and install car audio for a living.
