I have a 1999 Accord Sedan LX and I have the four load resistors and wire clips to splice. Problem is I saw the green wire as you can see attached. I thought that was the positive which was supposed to be spliced with the red wire on the resistor and the black one on the resistor to the black one on the wire.

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP! I'd surely appreciate it! Please provide links, pictures anything so I can get this done ASAP! Thanks Guys...I'm a Newbie to the forums.

 

the load resistor wastes power but prevents an indicator bulb in the dash from telling you the bulb is blown (since an LED looks like an open circuit).

red/blk is +12V tail light
green is +12V brake light and is tied to the brake light failure sensor.
blk is ground.

tie the load resistor between the green and the blk wire. this will prevent the sensor from thinking there is an open circuit. a resistor doesn't have polarity - but for consistency you can tie the red resistor wire to the green brake wire, and tie the black resistor wire to the black ground wire.
