I want to put Mrs. Kitt in my car
A couple of my friends own 300ZX's and their cars freaking talk to them. After doing some research, there is a little voice box that routes to a speaker inside their cars and she tells you if your lights are on, door is open, and all kinds of other crap. Does anybody know how one would go about doing this and how it wires up?

chrysler made some cars in the late 80's and early 90's (5th ave, new yorker) that did that as well.
there is going to be at least one box somewhere in the car that connects to all of the monitored systems (doors, lights, trunk, etc.). that same unit may power a speaker.
your best bet is to buy a service manual for a car that has one and review the wiring schematics. then find that car in a salvage yard and remove the necessary parts.
once you had the unit and the wiring diagram it would be similar to installing a car alarm.

I drove a Maxima many years ago that had what you have now informed me was "Bitchin' Betty." I only drove that car about a week, but Betty got old very quickly. Had it been my car I would have looked for her module under the dash/hood in order to silence her.
