Default Installing AMP what wiring kit size do I need?

I sold my civic and have bought a 2004 honda accord coupe. I when it gets here(being shipped in) plan to install my subwoofers again.

I left the wiring kit in my other car because I did not want to pull the panel up again cause it would have taken me close to a hour. Now I kinda wish I had cause now I have to spend money to get a new one haha.

Anyways I plan on upgrading my amp.

The current power is 120 watts RMS to each speaker.

The NEW AMP will have 250 watts RMS to each speaker.

Which gage wire will work? 10, 8 or do I need a 4 gauge wire? Just trying to save some money.

Really the 4 gauge would be best suited for higher power, it will also leave some peace of mind knowing that will not be a bottleneck of sorts. You could probably get away with 8 gauge though. that is just my two cents, good luck!

if your going to upgrade again in the future in this car.I would say go ahead and pay the little bit extra and get the 4 gauge because in the long run you will be better off.

with wire the bigger, short, and more flexible the better. use 4 gauge and make a short ground and the more flexible the wire the more power transfer.

Use whatever the power inputs are designed on the amp. Amp was made to use a certain wire gauge.

^basically - read the owner's manual to determine recommended wire size and fusing. when running more than one amp, you need to do some math to determine the total current draw and thus the necessary wire size based on wire length. see chart in my sig.
