Have a 2012 Accord EX with USB connection for my Ipod. I can make it work, and can navigate the menus, but is there a shortcut method to skip down the songs/album/artist list? I have WAY too many songs/albums/artists to use the dial to move all the way down the list.

Suggestions?

 

what you want is a "page down" or alphabetical search function?

aftermarket has better ipod interface solutions with intelligent search functions.

this is one of the main issues with navigating thousands of songs via a head unit, especially a factory one.

 

I agree. I have the 2012 Accord EX and I didn't try out the iPod/iPhone USB interface before I bought the car and I expected that I would be able to control the music through the phone (which is easier to scroll though and has Siri if I don't want to scroll at all). It looks like using the head-unit is really only useful if you have a short list of artists, song names or playlists.

For example, scrolling down to Weezer when I have a few hundred artists would take quite some time.

For now I'll just use the audio connection instead.

 

You can use the Category up and down buttons to page down 10 at a time. It's not perfect, but it is a lot better than using the wheel to scroll 1 at a time.

 

I just hooked the USB port up to my IPOD and the music plays but it doesn't show the song names- is there a fix for this?
