Stereo Ipod Control?

Stereo Ipod Control?
Hi all.
I just purchased a 2008 Accord Coupe EXL and completely love it. The only issue I have with it is that though I can play my Ipod through the auxiliary jack, my stock stereo does not display the songs being played nor can I fast forward a song using the stock stereo controls. Is there any way to modify it to do so? The 2 car stereo shops I have called both said "No."
Any advice would be appreciated.

I bought an iPod interface from Crutchfield, for our 2003. Swapped it into the 2007 Civic just fine. It plugs into the stereo where the trunk CD-changer would plug in. It has a cable for the bottom of the iPod, just like the iPod's charging cord. It charges and plays without using the headphone jack, and you can skip through the songs with the stereo controls. Best thing is that (unlike the aux cord) you don't have to remember to press PAUSE when you turn off the car. It was something like $150 but that was a couple years ago.
It doesn't display the song titles. Just like the CD changer, it displays "track 2" or "track 1234" etc.
