Angry Keyless entry quit working

About a month ago I hit a deer. So, the impact was on the driver's side headlight, hood, and door. When I took the car to the repair center none of the electric windows would work. I get the car back they fixed most things, still in process of getting insurance to work with the repair center. Price's Collision in Brentwood TN fixed the car they had a great rating with the BBB so I went with them. So back to my problem. I get the car back and they fixed the windows but did not fix the chrome emblem in the front of the car where the antlers had scraped it up, and now the key-less entry remote lights up but the car will not lock or unlock with the remote. They are saying that insurance needs to pay for the key-less entry but, I think they messed it up when they fixed the window panel on the driver side because it worked the day I took the car in to have it repaired. Does anyone know where the censor is for the key-less remote is it in any vicinity that I had any of the repair work done?

Fairly complex system, but a quick read of manual suggests that a closed switch/sensor (hood?) will disable the system from arming (closing doors and setting alarm).

It may be that hood switch or door entry switch is closed sending a ground signal to the controller, which disables the keyless entry system.

Your repair shop should be up to this task, or hire a 2nd shop that is. I would insist they make the repair correct.

good luck

Thank you very much for your advice. I took it to that repair shop because I thought they would know how to work on a honda since they dealt directly with the dealership.

I agree that an open hood or door will prevent the system from arming.
