Default Keyless remote

Can Anyone help me find a solution? I cracked the black box that holds my key and remote to my 2003 Accord Coupe. The key is wiggling all over the place and I cannot find the replacement anywhere although I have the valet key. The dealer here in NYCwants $170 to give me one and I think it's insane. Does anyone knowa better cheaper solution.........my car does not even have 25K miles on it yet! Thanks in advance!

I recently bought a keyless entry transponder unit from this company.Read this item description carefully and notice that you can find the unit without the transponder which would makeme assume cheaper and lesshassle and$of having to go to dealership (just put yourtransponder into the replacement andfollow instructions to program (not as easy as I thought it would be however). In your caseyourkeywouldprobablyneed to be modified by a locksmith unless you canswitch thatout too. (am not actually familiar with unit) Either way, getting this or similar or similar used unit plus using locksmith might me cheaper than the $170 the dealer wants.

Hope this makes sense

^ ^Not thinkingyou should be able to bring the uncut key to any key place (Home Depot) and have it copied from your original. No locksmith needed.
