Left channel problem

I have a CHM-S630 6 disc changer in my 95 Accord Ex that plays only noise from the left channel if using CD-R or CD-RW discs. If I play a
store bought CD, the radio, or cassette player all work fine. Is this the changer or head unit?

The changer is not compatable with burned disks.

On the front of the unit it says it is CD-R and CD-RW ready.
