Default looking for a good deck and speakers

i was thinking about gettin the Pioneer DEH-P6900UB because i heard it has good sound quality and you can hook up a harddrive to it. the price is a little high for me at the moment unless i install it myself. i was wondering if there are any other decks with a ubs port around 200 or less that you would recommend.

have you looked at crutchfield? not always the cheapest place to buy, but they usually have almost everything on their site...

I dont know if i should get speakers first or a deck first now. My friend told me that if I get a deck first and turn it up too high i can blow out my stock speakers and have the replace them before I have the money for it.

If you get a super powerfull deck AND you crank it up too loud then yes you can blow your speakers but you'd have to be a bit wreckless and careless to do that... If you use common sense you'll have no issues.

IIRC correctly, in front they are 6 1/2, back are 6 1/2 in a big plate, which you can rig a 6x9 into. check crutchfield to be sure

yeah the back is 6.5in too. although they do have 4 6x9 that will fit. i most likely will be gettin 4 6.5in speakers though. should i get 4 of the same or 2 in the back that are different from the 2 in the front? are there any speaker recommendations? budget is $200 for speakers.

i would put the 6x9s in the back. you have to angle them a bit to get them to fit, and drill new holes in the rear deck to mount them...only thing is, they dont seal totally...not sure if that's an issue for you.

I just checked and the car has 6x9 pioneer speakers in the rear. Does that mean most 6x9 will fit? If so which would you recommend for around 100?
