Default Mounting Amps on Rear Seat

I was hoping there was wood on the back of my rear seat to mount my amps to, but there is just thin sheet metal. Is it possible to separate the foam seating from the metal frame to bolt a couple of amps up? It didn't seem to obvious on how it would come off. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks

Default RE: Mounting Amps on Rear Seat

This aint the best place to mount amps bro. Amps keep cool by radiating heat up thru the fins and away from the amps. If you mount the amps facing down, the heat still radiates out thru the fins but since theyre pointed down and heat rises, the heat goes right back into the amps.

I know mounting them on the back seat wouldnt literally be facing down, but they would be facing downward.
