Default NEWB Question

Howdy folks

I just bought a brand new Accord Coupe EX-L.
It replaced my 92 Accord that retired with over 310K on the clock.
I have been enjoying playing with all of the bells and whistles, but one of them has me stumped.

I have searched the Googles and searched here, but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to use the TEXT function between the car and my iPhone 6. The blutooth connects just fine. All phone and music functions are working, but when I go to activate the TEXT function, there is nothing to choose from on the "account" line on the settings screen.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum, Drewler
Great looking car

Instructions for the Text system is on page 20 of the owner's manual. We can, of course receive texts, but we cannot send an actual text of our own.. As a safety measure, Honda has installed 6 pre-worded messages that can be sent as replies

Also check handsfreelink.honda.com for compatibility

My Galaxy S5 allows text message receipts. When driving it reads the message aloud. when stopped it shows the actual text on the iMid screen. I can access by choosing Phone - Menu - then navigating to Text Messages. The car doesn't store the messages but just pulls them from the phone. It updates in real-time, usually lagging a few seconds behind my phone.
