ported boxes?

RE: ported boxes?
Lol I'm by no means an expert. But putting that together is about as simple as it gets. You would just need to wire the sub to the terminal cup, how you do that depends on the sub but its nothing crazy. Then just screw the sub in. I can give you more details when the time comes, but don't be intimidated by that at all.

breaking in frequencies and gains...
1. on the sub what would a good breaking in frequency be
2. on the speakers what would a good breaking in frequency be
3. what volume position should i not go past in order to not damage anything

RE: ported boxes?
I would leave the sub at 80hz to 90hz before and after breaking it in. I say it's good to have the speakers crossed high when breaking in, because speakers will distort and sound bad if your try and play too much bass through them early, but won't really hurt them. You don't ever want to go past 75% 80% or you can get distortion from the HU which can cause clipping. A quality HU won't distort at max volume but cheaper ones and the stock HU will.
