Powered sub again

Powered sub again
Read the thread from 00accordLX 5spd. Same scenario but I have a Bass Link from another car. I didn't see how or where to plug in the RCA cables. I thought they had to get hooked up to pre-amp outlet. Any enlightenment would be appreciated.

A. I have no clue what Jon (00accordLX5spd) wrote, so a link to the thread would be great!
B. If you have the Honda factory radio, it doesn't have pre-outs on it. You will either need to get line level converters (any nerd at an electronics store knows exactly what it is) or a new headunit. My vote goes to the latter, which will give you better sound out of the same speakers.

RE: Powered sub again
If this powered sub has high level inputs you won't even need a line out converter, if high quality sound is not your priority you can get away with the stock HU. With high level inputs you can hook up a speaker signal to the amp. If not your going to need a LOC or a new HU.

RE: Powered sub again
That thread started out exactly what I wanted to ask. Add sub to 6cd stockHU. Then it really got long and out of hand. You guys answered my question. The Bass Link came out of sweet Fiero I bought from a spiteful divorced woman for cheap and it was screwed to the passenger floor! No HU and no instructions. A friend did what you said in his Element with a converter, amp, and 2 wally world speaker boxesand is not happy with it. Thanks for your input I'll go another route
