Default Radio Controls with new steering wheels on LX 03

I'm going to replace the stock steering wheel with one from a 03-06 ex, with leather wrap and it has the stereo volume control with it. My question, will this work with the stock LX radio/1cd stereo? The installation instructions state to get the activation code for the radio before you disconnect the power, but I do not see any code in the owers manual. From the research i've done, I beleve the LX radio doesn't use the code, can anyone confirm this?

Thank to anyone who can provide any assistance with this swap.

Bill

Thumbs up Adding steering wheel control 06 accord lx

The 2006 honda accord lx radio does not require a code. Apparently, honda thinks if you don't purchase the more expensive models, you deserve to have your radio stolen.
The steering wheel control can be added but it is not a task for the faint of heart. It requires removing the airbag, adding wires to the harness and taking apart the dash.
