Replacing stereo on a 2007 SE
Hi all,
I'm in the process of shopping for a 2007 Accord SE, and want to have a basic audio plan before I purchase.
Currently, I mostly listen to my IPod in my car, with a cassette adapter, and ideally, I'd like to hook up my IPod to the factory stereo. Given the bad things I heard about Honda Musiclink, which is no longer offered, and the cost of an aftermarket adapter, I'm tempted to just replace the car stereo. I don't feel comfortable installing an adapter myself, so I don't like the idea of buying one online.
My question. The Accord SE has steering wheel controls for the stereo. Will these controls only work with the factory stereo? I'd have to drive around with controls on the steering wheel I can't use.
Thanks.

Welcome to the forum. There is an adapter that is made so you can interface your stweering wheel controls with an aftermarket head unit. It is not made by Honda. I cant recall the name though.
This subject has been covered a lot recently. Actually, there is an active thread regarding a double DIN in this generation. Do a search and you'll find a lot about stereo options for the 7th gen.
