Default Sound System Help

My 1997 Honda Accord SE's sound system is stock, it sounds all right the way it is but I would like a bit more clarity and I love bass so I was thinking to add just one sub because two would be too much for a small car.

A friend suggested just getting this:http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1218011393973

If I just have the sub and amp installed, will the sound quality improve or just be distorted since the speakers and radio deck are stock? Any suggestions for a good quality radio deck that would go well with the sub? I want it to be ipod/cd capable of course

Any help would be appreciated!

a sub will just hit on the bass line, if you want to sound good get a speaker and hu upgrade.

search this forum. there is lots of good information floating around
if you want a good h/u, then alpine is the best in integrating ipod controls. as for your distortion issue, you want a crossover for your speakers so that it wont play the lower notes when combined with a subwoofer.
