Default Stock Radio?

Hey I have a 1999 Honda Accord and I just bought an 850 Watt Amp with two 12" subs and I was wondering if I could run these on my stock radio. I'm not familiar with stock radios on Hondas so if anyone can help me out with this I would be very greatful. I know I should upgrade but I might not be getting a new head unit for about 2-3 weeks more and I would really like to test out the new stuff. Thanks.

It is possible but it depends on the amp and setup. Basically you can do it a few different ways.... I don't think the stock stereo has RCA outputs so you're left taking a lead off your rear speakers and running that into your amp to get a signal for your Subs.... Yes it's do-able just a little bit more involved than most installs..... but still do-able

It sounds like you spent a fair amount of coin on that equipment. IMO, spend an extra $200 and buy a head unit.

I agree. Replace the head unit even if you have to buy a kit. All you are going to do now is amplify the signal from the factory unit which is poor.
