Default sub and amp help!

hi there, im ready to get going on a sub and amp.. i like the look and sound of jl audio and have heard only good things about them.
ive seen this in store http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Jl-Audio-12in...3A1|240%3A1318 for about $300 but was wanting to know you guys opinion since u have more experience.
and i need to know a good matching amp. im not a complete freak when it comes to sound but i want a nice sounding sub with bass, but not over the top bass. just nice if u know what i mean, this sub seems big enough and im wanting to know if u guys have ever heard it playing loudly b4 as ive only ever heard it on low volume, so i never got a good idea.
thank guys

Yeah that is not a bad deal. A w1 is not monster sub, but a great entry level sub. Will give you some nice clean filler bass. I'd imagine it would be difficult to get much over there, and shipping subs isn't cheap. So I would take the deal while you can.

Kicker CVR is another good entry sub. It can handle a bit more power, and will give you bit more bass.
