Exclamation Tweeter installation '95 Accord EX V6

Alright so I'm planning on purchasing component speakers to install into my front doors and I have a few questions before I begin.

Firstly, would it be wise to remove the stock tweeters located behind the windshield and simply just wire the new tweeters that came with the component set into the stock wires in the car? Or would I need to install a crossover and wire it to that?

Secondly, I'm pretty sure that the front speakers locations could house 6.5" components, considering a few alterations to the inside of the door. What alterations would I need to do to ensure a proper fit?

And lastly, for the rear speaker setup, I was wondering if 6x9's would fit inside the stock housing? Would I need to do any extra alterations to that? Would the holes line up correctly?

Thanks for the help!
BTW my first post(:

sorry, been busy.

you need to run new wires for the new tweeters. the factory tweeter has a capacitor mounted to it. you need new wiring from the new passive crossover to the new tweeter, and new wiring from the passive crossover to the new woofer.

for a proper fit you need to make a waterproof wood baffle. there is a thread sticky in this section with good details.

you want a rigid mount with good seals. you want seals between the baffle and the metal, between the speaker and the baffle, and between the speaker and the trim panel/grill. i use closed cell weatherstripping foam for my seals - in varying thicknesses.

for the rear, a baffle is recommended to increase rigidity. if you don't have the top mounting depth, then you can just use foam between the speaker and the metal deck, and foam between the speaker and the grille.

Parts Express sells speaker gasketing foam that works great between the speaker and the baffle - but any thin foam will work there. any hardware store sells closed cell weatherstripping foam in varying thicknesses.

Don't use open cell foam.

the Scion is just starting to be built. The doors were just the first step. The rest of the car is going to be amazing - we finally got all of the equipment in and ready! $5k well spent.
