will 05 Civic 6disc CD player fit in 99 Accord ?
Like the title say, mine single Cd player in my 99 Accord crapped out, so i want to swap out a 6disc CD player but the one from 98-02 accord doesn't have the aux input option. I saw some later civic, like 05 has that option, so i could play my ipod. Just wondering if it a direct fit plug in or do i have to re-wire it any body knows ? Thanx

good question, i'll look into it a bit more.
I do have a 98-02 6-disc changer laying around i'd be willing to sell, it includes a remote turn-on output. But the lack of an input (aside from FM modulator or cassette adapter) is a downfall.

I just bought one from LQK for $160, exact same as in the picture, comes with pigtail in case it's not a direct plug in, i'll have to do a little rewiring it, but i think it will work. I will update as soon as i recieve the unit and get it installed.

most factory radios lack RCA outputs, but you can use a line output converter (LOC) to get RCA signals out of a factory radio. LOC's are usuall built-into amps and some EQ's as well.
the downside to LOC's is that they include distortion from the HU amp - so you need to keep the HU volume low (below 50%) to not amplify HU distortion. that will also be true for any new factory head units.
you gain an aux input but you're still using a LOC. so why not just buy an aftermarket head unit that gives you everything? in your case - you should be looking for a decent aftermarket head unit.
in general, i don't recommend buying a different OEM head unit unless there is crucial OEM integration and information that is being retained.
