This is my first post on this forum. I have a 2007 Honda Accord Coupe SE. Just recently I have noticed that the drivers seat back is squeaking. The passenger side is fine. It looks like the foam padding underneath the cloth is rubbing against itself, producing a really annoying squaking sound. It is quite bothersome when exit and enter the car. Any ideas how this can be remedied. The car is still under warranty, so could the dealer do anything about it? The car is only one years old and I am concerned that the problem may worsen over the next few years.

you could ask the dealer and perhaps they have a solution but I don't know if squeeks and rattles are covered...

 

Hello New Member..direct that question to the SERVICE MANAGER at you dealership you bought it from, not a service tech but the Manager himself...they will try to take care of it I'm almost sure..Mine DID!

Thanks, I am going to take the car to the dealer in a day or two. Why should the car already start squeaking and rattling after only one year of use. What will happen in two years...more rattling...Also note that the car has VERY LOW MILEAGE as i only use it to commute to work and school. Only 7200 km. I dont even think this constitutes as normal wear and tear.

I hope the dealer will fix it.

 

None of us have any idea why your seat is squeaking after one year of use. This is why God made dealers! Exercise your right as a customer to have them repair it under warranty.

I had the driver side seatbelt buckle replaced via recall and after they did that work, the driver's seat back squeaks only when it's really cold out ..... I've thought about having them fix it, but it is very infrequent ..... eventually, I might just torque down the bolts on the seat.
