im sorry if anybody has talked bout this
i jsut wetpainted my car and it looks and feels AWESOME
BUT the dust and pollen in the air keeps falling on my car

so my question is is there anyway to lessen it?

if not whats good to dust the car with?

 

There are some things you just have no control over. When it's really bad (the car turns yellow from pollen) you've just got to rinse/wash it off. Another angle, when it's lightly coated, is a California Duster. Some hate it some love it.It works well for me but I'm very careful with it. If you buy one read the directions! It needs to be placed in newspaper for a few days to remove the excess paraffin prior to using it. You can also use a quick detail spray and microfiber towels in between using Wet Paint.....look for one that says it is anti static such as #425 from Finish Kare.

thanx tex is the california duster kinda like a mop or a rag? because i saw a moplike duster at walmart and i wanted to get it but i forgot what brand it was

well i managed to wet paint my car in a crowded garage at 1am saturday night just so i can go to church and sunday school with a clean car

and its been rainin or nasty outside so i couldnt take pictures i was a little sad to find that it rained today but i went home parked in the garage and towel the rain water off so itll still look nice rain water had a bit of dirt in it

 

Mop- one for car & one for dash. There are other brand names that work just as well-

EDIT: The Cal Duster with the plastic handle is cheaper than the wooden handle, the mop is the same.

 

yeah i noticed the wooden handle was alot more expensive
i went to autozone today and saw another similar thing it was zwipes brand a believe and it was the car brush and the dash brush for 10 bucks if i remember correctly.
the zwipes one as braided threads/fibers/mop thinigies but i dont think the cal duster does
is there a difference or should it work just the same?

 

I'm not familar with that brand. The Cal Duster is impregnated with parafin which is what grips and holds the dust. If the directions say to set it on newspaper for a fews days to leach out the excess it'll work. If not it'sa dust mop and will just move it around as opposed to actually picking it up.

 

I would suggest just rinsing your car off every morning with the water hose before you leave for work, school, etc. As long as you drive the car after you do it, there won't be any water spots because the wind will dry it.

 

That depends where you live and how hard the water is. In the summer here your car would spot up before you even had a chance to get in anddrive it. By the way never use a Cal Duster on hot paint....streak city.

 

thanks guys i think ill jsut be safe and get the cali duster whenever it stops raining so oftentheres no point now too wet.
