Default OK To Wax Right After Purchase?

I'm assuming that with todays new paint technology that it would be alright to wax right after purchasing a new car? I just bought a new black Accord and would like to wax it now.

You could look in the doorjamb data plate for the assembly date. Actually I think it just says the month.

With Jim on this, give fresh paint at least 30 days to fully cure before waxing. In that 30 days take it real easy on washes as well.

Not sure on the newer ones and that....I found the actual "build date" of my 2016 Pilot under the pass floor mat........Guess I should actually look in the door to see if there is a date and if it matches the one under the mat

okay so with that in mind I just checked my build date and it was 11/15 so I guess there should be no problem with waxing it now. Thanks.
