Dashcam
Hello everyone. I am hoping to hardwire a dash cam to use parking mode. I haven’t done this before. I’m just using the person’s message before me, but I put a picture of my car’s fuse box map. 2025 Honda Accord Base Model LX. I first connected the correct fuse tappers to the wires that power the dash cam. I then followed the instructions and found a constant power fuse and ended up connecting it (relaxing the fuse and putting it into the second slot on the fuse tapper), and the B+ light lit up, so I knew I connected it to the correct port (according to the instructions). I then went to connect the second wire to a ACC port, and it told me that if I touch the tapper to where I am connecting it, and the ACC on the black box doesn’t light up, then it’s possible I connected to the right one. It says then to proceed to turn the engine on, and once the engine is turned on, if the ACC light comes on, then you, again, possibly have the right one. At this point, my vehicle was on, and all these warnings came on the dashboard, so I disconnected everything and put the factory fuses back in their original positions, and all lights on the dashboard turned off except for check engine light. I then disconnected the negative terminal on the battery and reconnected, and check engine light turned off, but some lights still remained such as lane departure warning, tpms, etc, but once I drove the car, it recalibrated everything, and now it is back to normal. Then it says to turn the engine off, and if the ACC light goes off, then you have for sure found the correct fuse to tap into, but this last step, I did not get to. That brings me to currently: I put everything back on the car how it came, and am now just trying to figure out if anyone can tell me which are the correct fuses to tap into, did I do something wrong, is this not compatible with my vehicle, etc. I’d consider just plugging into the cigarette port, but ideally, I’d want the camera to have constant power while the vehicle is off so I can know if anything happens while I’m not inside of it. Thanks!
