Rear Window Regulator TIPS & TRICKS
Ever have the rear window do not close all the way? leave about 1/4 to 3/4 inch gap ?? Want to save money ??
Well here is a trick you guys can try ..
I know it works on 90-93 accords have done it 2 times ,, And it should work on the 94-97 accords ..
you can solve this problem by drilling 3 new holes holes, straight up from the originals and raising the regulator
.you need to measure the open gap when the window is all the way up ,, i would then add about another 1/4 inch just to make sure the window will seal at the top.
So let's say the gap was 1/2 inch ,adding another 1/4 inch , you should mark and drill the holes 3/4 inch higher than where the mounting holes are now ,
where the regulators mounting holes are right now, mesure straight up and mark a spot adding the new measurement you took ,,
Drill three matching holes and bolt the regulator to those new holes .
Now keep in mind that when the window is all the way down it will stick up a bit more at the bottom , if you do not mind ... great ,,
but if you don't feel comfortable , you can always dish out the money and replace the regulator
I have done this a few times, on a couple of cars and it worked great
Hope this can help some of you save some money
