Mine did the same thing; probably just dirty/grabby window channels. Take the door panel off. Put the window up. Clean the front and back window channels. An old toothbrush plus some soap and water works well. Try to keep water off the speaker. Rinse & let dry. Then grease the all three inner surfaces of the channels with silicone grease. Home Depot and Lowes sells it in a little plastic container for ~$3. The container has enough grease in it for at least four windows. It's called "silicone faucet grease." Great for lubing suspension bushings too.
Operate the window after you're done but with the door panel still off to make sure the fix took. If not then it should be easier to troubleshoot the problem when you can see what's going on.
