Default 1988 A20A3 Questions

Hello all,
To give a little background I picked up a 1988 accord lxi with an A20A3 engine under the impression that all it needed was a new crankshaft oil seal. Not so much. I replaced the seal and within 10 minutes of running the new seal had pushed its way out and was spraying oil everywhere. So, maybe I had installed the seal wrong. Anything is possible at this point. Spent the $3.00 for a new seal. Again, within 10 minutes seal material surrounding the timing belt gear and then oil going everywhere. At this point I took a step back and though about. Maybe the oil relief spring was stuck and building to much pressure. Removed the oil filter mounting component that has the oil relief spring, cleaned it, checked it, and reinstalled it along with a new seal. Same problem. Now I'm confused. Bought a new oil pump thinking that might be the problem. Nope, same thing. Now at this point the car sits for a few months while I do some research, didn't come up with much. I pulled the engine and trans this past week and tore it down . 1st thing I notice is glitter on the head. I thought oh boy, here we go. Pulled the oil pan, more glitter and larger pieces. Also I found two pieces of silver silicone about an inch long. One in the pan and one in the oil pick up screen. Began to pull the rods, rod bearing for cylinder one looks scored and pitted. Lack of oil. Rod bearings 2-3-4, about right for 250,000+ miles. So next is the crank bearings. Main cap 1, bearing is wasted. Full copper color, parts of bearing surface missing (glitter I found earlier) along with black streaks. Lack of oil big time. Main cap 2, about right for the mileage. Main cap 3, full copper color. Small amount of black streaks. Lack of oil. Main bearings 4-5 about right again. On the crank, main jourenal 1 has groves along with rod journal 1. Intake and exhaust lobes on the cam for cylinder 1 burnt and discoloured. Same for lobes for cylinder number 3. Cam journals 1-2-3 scored. Lack of oil. So on to the questions.
1) The oil journals in the block, is the oil journal for main cap 1 fed right off the oil pump?
2) Is rod journal 1 fed oil from main cap 1?
3) Are oil journals 1 and 3 tied together?
4) Are cam journals 1-2-3 tied together?

Main cap 1 looks like it has a drain hole that was plugged with the same silver silicone. There is also a "shim" in the groves of the cap just in front of the bearing. This groove was filled with the same silicone. Is this correct? If I decide to put the time and money into this engine I don't want to do it twice. I can buy a bone yard engine for under $400. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
