Hey guys! So about a month and a half ago I noticed my thermostat jumping up in down. When I first would start the car I would let it warm up and it would get up to temp then while driving I would feel what felt like a mini shift and then i would notice the temp drop from about 2/5 down to below 0. I looked it up and from what I read it pointed to the thermostat so I replaced it and got a new gasket but it kept going. The fluid is fine.

The code was p1486

What should I look at next?

It may have been result of faulty thermostat. Reset ECU w/ scanner, or wait and the ECU should eventually erase the Check Engine Light.

Thanks! I have a scanner and I cleared it twice now. Looks like I should look into the ECU now huh? I could try a new thermostat too, take this new one back and swap it out maybe..
